It was so nice to see everyone at our NH Open Doors kick-off meeting last night.
An email will be sent out shortly with an update to those that were unable to make it.

The next meeting is scheduled for October 4th, 2011 at 7PM at Amanda’s.

The Mont Vernon Artisans donated two baskets filled with beautiful handmade goods, for the Mont Vernon General Store fundraiser. Thank you everyone!
Your support for our 5th Annual NH Open Doors Show this weekend, was very much appreciated. We all had a fantastic time and you helped making it so.

Our next Artisan event will be in May 2011 at the Mont Vernon Spring Gala. Be sure to stop by! :p)

In the meantime, a Facebook page is under development, here you will be able to view more of our products and get in touch with us easily.

Also, if you weren’t able to stop by this weekend. You can find several of Mont Vernon’s Artisans items at both “The Picket Fence” in Mont Vernon and “Whimsey Square” gift shoppe in Amherst.

Town Spring Gala – We will be there!

On May 15, 2010, at our town’s annual Spring Gala event, 14 of us will be setting up our displays outside near Route 13 and the War memorial across from the town’s library. (Weather premitted.) Please stop by and say hi!

We have a couple of new members, please welcome Dennis Phelan (stained glass designs) and Tony Immorlica (wood designs)!

We always welcome new members, please feel free to contact us if you are interested in joining our fun and creative group.

This year’s proceeds from our raffle baskets will be donated to the N2N-Cates Family Fund and Mont Vernon Beautification Committee.

Also, some of the Artisans will be donating a portion of their sales to the N2N-Cates Family fund in addition to contributing to the raffle baskets.

You will find us at the Fire Station & Town Hall on November 7th and 8th, in Mont Vernon, NH.

The Mont Vernon Artisans are painting chairs for a silent auction, benefiting the Mont Vernon Daland Memorial Library. Children’s books are the inspiration and each artist picked their own favorites. With each chair the book is included.

Please stop by the library to take a peak … The Wild Things, The Rainbow Fish, Charlotte’s Web, Good Night Moon, I spy!, The Little Mermaid … just to mention a few,

The Mont Vernon Artisans’ next upcoming show will be in November 2009.

Who are we?

The Mont Vernon Artisans are artists and makers of fine craft, both amateur and professional, who are residents of the town of Mont Vernon. We are passionate about our work and engaged in supporting and learning from each other. We represent many media in our work:

Creative Arts

Fiber

Fine Crafts and Fine Arts

Glass

Graphic Arts

Mixed Media

Painting

Pen and Ink Drawing

Photo and Video Arts

Pottery

Silversmithing

Wood

We welcome any and all Mont Vernon residents at any stage of their practice – beginners, hobbyists, life-time professionals – all have value for the energy and mission of the MVA. We host events that give our members an opportunity to show and sell their work, notably the annual Show on Veterans’ Day weekend in conjunction with NH Open Doors, and at the town’s Spring Gala in mid-May. We also participate in events that support other town organizations, to celebrate the presence of art and fine craft in the community.

What is the purpose of the Mont Vernon Artisans?
Our Mission is to share experiences and information with respect to our lives as artists and artisans, and to make Mont Vernon a destination for artists, students, and collectors, built on a reputation of fine craftsmanship and generosity of spirit.

Why and when do we meet?
Our meetings are designed to carry out the primary mission of the MVA, as we listen to each other‛s experiences, learn about new opportunities and events, share practical information, and plan ways of bringing art into the community.

We welcome you!
Come to a meeting if you have any desire to be part of such a community, and to listen, learn, and contribute to the mission and spirit of the Mont Vernon Artisans.

The Mont Vernon Artisans meet the second Monday of the month, Sept – Nov, and Feb- June at 7:30 p.m. in the Daland Library. Other meetings are scheduled as needed to accommodate events and issues important to the group.
